These conditions shall apply to
all sales transactions between Mey Selections (North Highland Products
Ltd) and any person, firm or company ("the Purchaser") placing
an order with Mey Selections for the manufacture and/or supply of any
goods ("the Goods"). Mey Selections by accepting any order for
Goods from the Purchaser agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to
purchase such Goods at the price stated on Mey Selections website or
order form and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of Mey
Selections stated herein.
1. PRICE: Prices for
Goods include Mey Selections standard packaging and VAT. The price does
not include the delivery of the order to the Purchaser. This is an
additional cost, unless otherwise stated.
2. SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT: Mey Selections provides a secure payment system by
utilising the services of Worldpay for all
online payments. Payments can be submitted online using protocol 128 bit
SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the strongest commercially available level of
encryption. The private data of the Purchaser will be encrypted at all
times whilst in transit over the Internet. The Purchaser should see a
solid padlock in their browser status bar which indicates that the
encryption is taking place. Credit card payments can be made using Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch and Solo.
Goods
will only be despatched once payment has been received in full.
3. RETENTION OF TITLE: Property
in the Goods shall not pass until the full amount has been paid.
4. DELIVERY: Mey Selections will make every effort to despatch orders
within 5 working days of receipt. The standard delivery prices listed on
the website include a 3-day delivery service within the UK mainland (England,
Scotland and Scottish Highlands). The cost is for
delivery to be made Monday to Friday only. There will be no weekend
deliveries. Deliveries outside the UK mainland will be between
2-5 days, depending upon the destination. Deliveries outside of the UK
Mainland will incur a surplus delivery cost. All international orders
will be treated separately.
Orders with a total value over
£25.00 will be delivered free of charge. Orders with a total value under
£25.00 will incur an additional charge of £6.35 or £12.65, depending on
the delivery location. Delivery charges for addresses outside UK Mainland
and International will incur a further delivery charge.
The carrier will attempt
delivery and if the recipient is not at home the carrier will leave a
card with written instructions asking them to contact their local depot
to arrange a convenient delivery date. The carrier will re-attempt
delivery the following day and will once again leave a card if the
recipient is not home. It is then the recipient's responsibility to
contact the depot and arrange for collection.
Please arrange for a recipient,
or their representative, to be at the delivery address to accept the
parcel on the date that the Purchaser has specified. If the recipient
cannot be in, further instructions can be left for the courier, e.g.
deliver next door or leave in garage etc. It is the Purchasers
responsibility to ensure that a recipient or representative is present to
sign for the delivery. If the delivery is returned to Mey Selections, a
re-delivery charge will be charged to the Purchaser. The re-charge will
be the full cost charged to Mey Selections and will not be under £12.65.
The Purchaser can contact Mey
Selections for an upgraded UK delivery service, (i.e Saturdays). The extra charges will be quoted on
request.

5. COMPLAINTS/CUSTOMER SERVICE:
The Purchaser should inform Mey Selections
immediately of any problems by Telephone +44 (0)845 838 0488, Fax +44
(0)845 838 0490 or Email info@mey-selections.com. Complaints are taken very seriously by Mey
Selections and will be dealt with within 5 working days, although most
complaints can be corrected within a few hours. Please note that the Purchaser
is also welcome to contact Mey Selections on any issue relating to their
order on the contact telephone, fax or email listed above. Mey Selections
operating hours are from 09:00 GMT to 17:30 GMT, Monday to Friday.
6. DAMAGED GOODS: If the Goods are damaged, the Purchaser should contact Mey
Selections within 3 days of receipt of Goods. Damaged Goods must be
returned to Mey Selections, 34a High Street, Wick, Caithness, KW1 4BS
suitably packaged. Mey Selections will replace or refund the items
concerned.
7. SUBSTITUTIONS: Mey Selections reserves the right to substitute items of
similar or greater value, if for any reason those listed on the web site
are unavailable. All orders will be fulfilled on a first come, first
serve basis, as availability is limited.
8. REFUND POLICY
The purchaser has the right to cancel within seven days of their
contract with Mey Selections, or seven days of receipt of the goods
(whichever is the longer). To qualify for a refund, goods must remain
unopened and packaging must be undamaged. If the purchaser does choose to
cancel their order they should inform Mey Selections immediately by
telephone on +44 (0)845 838 0488, Fax +44 (0)845 838 0490 or Email info@mey-selections.com to arrange a refund. They will have their
payment returned in full and we ask that any goods are returned
to Mey Selections, 34a High Street, Wick, Caithness, KW1 4BS
suitably packaged.
9. ALCOHOL – LICENSING ACT
2003: Under the Licensing Act 2003 it
is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor if you
are under the age of 18. We reserve the right to refuse to supply any
individual or company.
No persons under 18 years of
age may place an order or receive Goods from Mey Selections if the Goods
contain alcohol.
10. INSURANCE: Liability
insurance is automatically included by Mey Selections on all Goods
ordered.
11.
FORCE MAJEURE: Mey Selections will exercise
every reasonable effort to meet the requested despatch date. Mey
Selections shall not, however, be liable for any loss or damage due to
delays or failure to ship resulting from any cause beyond its reasonable
control, such as but not limited to compliance with laws or regulations,
acts of God, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts of civil or
military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or
suppliers, labour disputes, failure or delays in transportation,
embargoes, wars or riots.
12. ONLINE PRESENCE: No warranty is given by Mey Selections that their website
will be constantly online or free of defects and errors at any time.
13. PRIVACY POLICY: Mey Selections collects the information provided by the
Purchaser at the time of ordering and uses this information lawfully and
in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Information is collected
by Mey Selections to process the Purchaser's order and also to provide
the highest level of customer service possible.
14.
JURISDICTION: These terms and conditions
shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law and
the Purchaser hereby agrees to be subject to the jurisdiction of the
Scottish Courts.
None of the above terms affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
